This Cremation Urn is made out of Hawaiian Curly Koa Wood that was collected from Koa trees that were blown over during high winds on the slopes of Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawaii. Koa (Acacia Koa) is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands and does not grow in large harvest-able groves anywhere in the world. Koa is the second most prolific endemic tree growing in the State of Hawaii and even though it is in short supply and very expensive it is not on the Endangered Species List. Harvesting of Koa trees is now limited to trees that have been knocked down by natural causes and subject to government regulations. Thousands of Koa seedlings are planted yearly now to supplement natural propagation of the species.
This Sale is for One (1) Small Pet Urn or Keepsake Urn. I show two in the pictures to give you a better idea of what the Urns look like I have six of these small Urns set aside for this listing but I make them all the time.
The Small Koa Pet Urn or Keepsake Urn for sale here is approximately three (3) inches wide by two and one quarter (2 1/4) inches deep by three and one quarter (3 1/4) inches high. This Pet Urn is the same size as my Keepsake Urn that I sell to local Mortuaries when families want to keep some of the deceased's ashes with them.
This Koa Urn is made of the finest Curly Koa and is made to hold the cremated ashes of most Pets except the largest of dogs. The Urn is covered with a precatalyzed semi-gloss lacquer finish. The Urn can be laser engraved directly into the wood or a brass plate can be mounted on one side.
Take a look at the pictures to really see the beauty of the Urn. Curly Koa has a radiation to it that most wood varieties do not have. Chatoyancy is the one word that is used the most with Curly Koa. Once you have seen Koa's splendor you will know why.
The pictures show two Small Urns but this sale is for only one small Pet Urn or Keepsake Urn. I have Six of these Small Urns for sale here and they are all very similar in design and wood quality.
I make these all the time as it is a regular item I sell to local Funeral Homes.
The Urn can be laser engraved directly into the wood or a brass plate can be mounted on one side. NOTE: I am not set up to do engraving myself as I don't have the equipment but if you are in Honolulu I can advise you where you can get the engraving done.
Ask any specific questions you have about this particular Urn and if you want any more pictures of certain parts of the Urn.

Shipping from United States
At the present time I only ship to the USA due to negative Customs experiences I have had in the past.
I ship either US Priority Mail or US First Class mail depending upon the items weight. I try to ship the same day but because of my location in Hawaii your package will usually ship the following day as long as it is not a Sunday or Holiday.
I have a very liberal Return Policy in that you can return anything you want for any reason by notifying me within five days that you want to make a return.
I will refund your money for the product upon receipt of the product back. Shipping fees to return product will be at customers expense. Items may be returned up to 30 days after receipt by customer and notification to me of intent to return product.
A 10% Restocking Fee may apply for certain items.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't you ship outside of the USA ?
I will consider and have shipped to other Countries but only after we agree on prices and shipping. This must be done through the Convo system here on Etsy and is not available for all items due to the weight and shipping restrictions on some of my items.
I will however ship to friends or relatives of customers who are located in the USA and then they can make shipping arrangements to the customers location overseas.
