The 4.5 Inch Ebony Hair Fork is curved to fit the contour of your head and can be used from several angles. Many customers are impressed with the holding power of this design and the amount of hair that this little fork can manage. It is 1 inch wide and buffed to a semi gloss finish.
The Functional Prong Length (FPL) is 3 1/2" for the Curved Ebony 2-prong Fork and 4 3/4" for the Six Inch Straight Ebony 2-prong Fork.

This Indian Ebony (Diospyros Ebanaster) comes from managed forests that are selectively cared for and monitored. Like all Ebonies it varies from dark reddish brown colors to a deep Black and a lot have dark brown grain patterns. Sometimes a Greyish White Sapwood is present along the edge.
These Hair Forks are strong and I would classify them as having good holding power rather than many of my other forks that I would classify as more decorative with medium to lighter holding power. The use of Hair Forks as "levers" is not a good idea as most Hair Forks are decorative and they will break under excess stress.
Since these come in various colors please let me know if you want all black or a mixture of brown and black.

As a matter of caution some of the Forks will be sharper then some people like and I therefore recommend that you blunt the tip with an emery board to the degree of sharpness you want.
If you find any of my Hair Forks not to your liking I will take them back.

Why don't you ship outside of the USA ?
I will consider and have shipped to other Countries but only after we agree on prices and shipping. This must be done through the Convo system here on Etsy and is not available for all items due to the weight and shipping restrictions on some of my items.
I will however ship to friends or relatives of customers who are located in the USA and then they can make shipping arrangements to the customers location overseas.

I absolutely love these hair forks. I haven't used a hair band since the day they arrived. I just learned how to use a hair fork and even with my inexperience these hold all day. The tips are very sharp but I actually like them that way, I've found the pointed tip parts my hair easier and there's no breakage or tearing like I've seen some people mention with cheap amazon brand products. Great quality, very pretty wood. I will definitely be buying many, many more. Also, thank you very much for the free gift, I wear this metal one as much as the wooden set! I've found the metal texture works better for certain hairstyles and vice versa with the wood so I'm very happy to have a range.
