This Free Form Raw Edge Burly Jarrah Piece of wood is approximately 9 inches long, 5-9 inches wide and 1 5/8 inches tall. It was cut flat to show off the Natural Edges of the Jarrah Wood and the burly grain ranges from light to dark red. The burl in this wood creates air pockets that when cut flat creates black aesthetically pleasing holes that go through the piece. The Jarrah Vase comes with a 1 7/8 inch pin frog made of brass with a black pewter finish. The Dried Eucalyptus Leaves of green and purple are used in this setting instead of fresh flowers to give you and idea of what kind of arrangements can be used. They are not included with this stand/vase.
Shipping for this Koa Ikebana Vase will be $ 15.00 by US Priority Mail to any State in the USA .
The Japanese Art of Ikebana became a favorite pastime for me several years ago and as a woodworker I enjoyed making Ikebana Vases and /or Ikebana Stands. Being fortunate enough to live in Hawaii I have been surrounded by beautiful wood and between the two loves I started making these Ikebana Vases.
This Ikebana stand is made from Jarrah. Jarrah is an Australian hardwood. It is heavy, tough with a distinctive dark red coloration. Jarrah can be highly polished and accepts most finishes well. It is commonly found on flooring, panelling, joinery, decking and furniture.
This piece was free formed by myself with the use of my bandsaw and orbital sanders to provide a natural piece of practical art used for flower arrangements. The vase/stand is sprayed with a Lacquer finish that is water resistant, durable and will not spot when water is spilled on it.
It will be shipped by USPS Priority mail anywhere in the United States.
If you do not like the Ikebana Vase upon receipt you may return it for a no questions asked refund of your purchase price upon return of vase with shipping paid by you.
The Flowers in the pictures are not included in the sale as I'm sure you can find much better flowers in your yard.
Feel free to ask any and all questions you have about the product or Ikebana woodworking in general.
I will consider and have shipped to other Countries but only after we agree on prices and shipping. This must be done through the Convo system here on Etsy and is not available for all items due to the weight and shipping restrictions on some of my items.
I will however ship to friends or relatives of customers who are located in the USA and then they can make shipping arrangements to the customers location overseas.
