Hawaiian Curly Koa Free Form Ikebana Vase Water Holding Solid Brass w/ Black Pewter Finish Kenzan Pin Frog.KI-052223-A

The Japanese Art of Ikebana became a favorite pastime for me several years ago and as a woodworker I enjoyed making Ikebana Vases and /or Ikebana Stands. Being fortunate enough to live in Hawaii I have been surrounded by beautiful wood and between the two loves I started making these Ikebana Vases.

This Ikebana stand has a deep reddish tone with some distinct and some light curls. This Curly Koa Ikebana stand (vase) is approximately 7 3/4 inches long, 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 inches wide and an 1 1/2 inches tall. This Koa stand comes with a 1 7/8 inch black pewter finished pin frog (as seen in pictures in this listing). I am also adding an antique Brass tapered pin frog as a gift. Perhaps you could have a permanent dry arrangement in one of them to use when you don't have fresh flowers.

The Dried Eucalyptus Leaves of green and purple are used in this setting instead of fresh flowers to give you and idea of what kind of arrangements can be used.

This piece was free formed by myself with the use of my bandsaw and orbital sanders to provide a natural piece of practical art used for flower arrangements. The Deep Reddish color is one of many natural colors of Curly Hawaiian Koa and is finished with a Precatalyzed lacquer finish so it won't spot with spilled water.
